Handling of Medical Data after a health assessment

The purpose of the medical examination under the Med-Track program is to reduce the medical risks of the employees (and their family where relevant) in relation to the high mobility which applies to many jobs in the company and the unequal/inconsistent level of protection provided by local labor regulations and local medical facilities in the large number of countries concerned. Additionally, the online access provides the employees concerned with an easier access to the results of the medical examination.

The medical examination under the Med-Track program is subject to various applicable laws and regulations including data protection laws, medical and health regulations, and ethical/confidentiality rules of the medical profession. Schlumberger will comply with all such applicable laws and regulations, and will not, as an employer, have access to the results of the medical examination. Only Schlumberger Medical Department, and International SOS, which provides the Med-Track programĀ  will have access to such results. Both Schlumberger Medical Department and International SOS are subject to ethical/confidentiality rules of the medical profession.

The rights of the employees, and the steps taken by Schlumberger to comply with applicable laws and regulations (for e.g. adequate confidentiality and security measures in order to protect and maintain the data in a secured manner), are explained in the consent form which is a part of the medical or online questionnaire filled up by the employees prior to the medical examination.

The results of the medical examination are stored for a period of 10 years.

If you have any specific question, you can contact International SOS.
