The Med-Track Process for Doctors : After the Med-Track Physical

Summary

After the Med-Track Physical

The examining physician will provide a summary and recommendations, including vaccination(s) or boosters, and will conclude with the employee's overall fitness status based upon international standards (Guidelines of Medical Fitness to Work in the Oil Industry).

The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider will fill out pages 6 and 7 of the hardcopy or the corresponding questions in the online eMed-Track website questionnaire after completion of the physical examination and diagnostic tests. Should a laboratory test result be abnormal according to the normal range results of the laboratory facility providing the testing services, it should be mentioned in the appropriate line.

The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider is free to have more tests performed if medically justified (i.e. blood in stool may require a colonoscopy), but he must provide a prescription for these additional tests. This prescription must be sent with proof of payment to CIGNA GLOBAL HEALTH SERVICES for reimbursement.

Employees/dependents should be reminded to keep their vaccinations up to date.

The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider should also provide relevant travel advice on malaria, food, water, specific health risks, etc. that may be encountered in the country where the patient will be working.
