Summary
The following vaccinations are recommended for all international employees/dependants in Schlumberger:
Yellow fever is mandatory for persons who may work or live in Africa and/or South America.
Meningitis A & C vaccination should be administered to persons who may work or live in West Africa.
Diphtheria vaccination is recommended to persons who may work or live in C.I.S. countries and Eastern Europe.*
Childhood vaccinations should be updated if necessary (MMR, DTCP, etc.).
Other vaccinations may be necessary depending on the time of travel, local epidemics and destination.
If the employee/dependent is supposed to live, work or travel in a zone of endemic malaria transmission, give him appropriate information regarding malaria prevention (insect bite prevention and adapted malaria chemoprophylaxis).

Drug testing is mandatory for Med-Track pre-employment medical examinations only and only if permitted by local legislation.

NOTE: Drug test kits are produced by the USA company, Progressive Medical Technologies (Immunochrome Multitest® or TRIAGE® tests are also available) or similar.
The 12 classical leads are required. Interpretation of the results shall always be made by a physician (computer interpretation alone is not acceptable). If the resting EKG is grossly abnormal a consultation with a cardiologist or a stress EKG may be justified.
Chest X-ray: A classical front film is to be performed systematically where legally and medically acceptable. The profile will be completed only if clinically indicated.

Schlumberger does not request HIV testing. There should be no HIV testing unless specifically requested by the employee or when required for visa purposes.
