The Med-Track Process: For Recruiters hiring new employees
Role of the recruiter in the hiring process
- Before a new employee is hired and before signing his/her contract with Schlumberger, all potential New Hires must undergo, where legally acceptable, a Med-Track pre-employment physical.
- The pre-employment checkup is the only means of determining if someone is medically fit for the position and geographic location for which they are recruited.
- The recruiter can create, search and edit new employee records using the online eMed-Track website. For a guide on how to how to use the website, click on Help at the bottom of the page.
Documents Recruiter should provide to the potential New Hire
- The receipt for the Med-Track Physical to allow reimbursement
- Certificate of Fitness filled out by the Examining Doctor or Medical Provider.
Documents that the potential New Hire should send back to International SOS
The Med-Track Medical Questionnaire
- The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider has uploaded his findings into the eMed-Track website.
The Med-Track questionnaire will be reviewed by International SOS.
- The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider has not uploaded his findings into the eMed-Track website.
The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider will give a hard copy of the Med-Track questionnaire to the employee/dependent after having verified that all answers are:
- in English
- in capital letters or typed
- clearly written whitout abbreviations
The Examining Doctor or Medical Provider will clearly indicate his name, address, e-mail address and telephone (with country code). This will allow INTERNATIONAL SOS to contact him/her should there by any issues or questions.
The Med-Track report can be sent to International SOS in France by the employee/dependent in one of the following manners:
- By using the International SOS Drop Box in 2 easy steps – fast, efficient, totally confidential.
- Scan your Med-Track report (pdf or jpeg)
- Upload your Med-Track report into the totally secure Drop Box by a click on this link Click Here.
Once you have uploaded your Med-Track report into the Drop Box no one except the medical staff from International SOS will be able to access your confidential medical report.

Note: Only completed Med-Track questionnaires must be sent to International SOS in Paris. The medical report must be mailed in an envelope labeled CONFIDENTIAL MEDICAL to preserve the confidentiality of its contents. Avoid sending your Med-Track questionnaire by e-mail. They will often be refused by the INTERNATIONAL SOS firewall due to their size.
IMPORTANT: It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that his/her Med-Track questionnaire has been sent to International SOS in Paris.

- The receipt for the Med-Track Physical to allow reimbursement
- Certificate of Fitness filled out by the Examining Doctor or Medical Provider.
Where to perform a Med-Track physical for a Potential New Hire
